Founded and launched "Forest Aid", forest restoration on the San Bernardino National Forest, in partnership with the US Forest Service and LA-Based TreePeople, is the largest volunteer-led tree planting effort in SOCAL. Over 32,000 seedlings will be planted this spring in the burn areas from the 2003 and 2007 wildfires; the initiative will relaunch in the spring of 2010 planting up to 40,000 seedlings on the SBNF. Through the SBNFA's 6 divisions, we reach out to over 400,000 visitors to the SBNF through our education, conservation and recreation programs to instill a respect and appreciation for our national forest while instilling stewardship and responisble recreation values.
